Happy Easter!

With the weather being so nice this week, it was a lot of fun to celebrate and get ready for Easter.

Sugar Cookies
We started by making sugar cookies but for some reason it was a very busy week and we ended up taking took all week to finish. I spent one day making the dough, one day baking them, and finally decorated them. I think it took so long because I let Abigale help and by the time we got done with one step we ran out of time, but it was still fun and she loved "helping" me.
Easter Egg Hunt
We had an Easter Egg Hunt with the Drysdales and Petersons and I am not sure who had more fun the kids or the parents watching the kids. I was surprised how much Abigale got into it as she raced around the grass picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket but the best part was coming inside and opening them all up.
Easter
Easter morning I set out an Easter basket full of some fun new toys and she loved everything. While she played with her new toys, Jonathan and I read some of the amazing articles out of this month's Ensign. It was the perfect Easter morning. We then went to church and then to Jonathan's parents house for a delicious Easter dinner and took family pictures. It was so nice to be with family for the holiday. Easter is such a special holiday- the sugar cookies and easter egg hunts and jelly beans are all a lot of fun but I hope everyone took some time to remember why we really celebrate Easter.

So cute- look at that curly hair in the last picture! She is looking more precious everyday. I can't believe she is old enough to "help" you make cookies. Hopefully I can see you both soon!

So, a few things I wanted to comment on: first - where did you do the egg hunt? I love that in one of the pictures there's a rusty old fence wire around the eggs. Second, I'm sure Abigail was thrilled to get clothes for Easter - face it that was more for you than for her. And third, I love that last picture. Really, that is why I want a girl. She is such a cutie, definately her mom's girl. I hope all is going well. How is Jonathan's job hunting going? Or has the MTC offered him a new job hoping to keep such a great guy around? Take care and let me know what's going on.

wow... what a cute, cute little girl! When Claire and Eliza looked at the pictures, Claire said "I think Abigale was a good girl this year because the Easter Bunny brought her a lot more things than he brought us!"

Hey, I am so excited to hear from you...this is so fun. oh man carly, you have no idea how great it is having two. when you get married thats great, then you have a baby and its even more great, then you have one more and its the greatest! it is hard, but abigail will be old enough that she will be able to help you a lot more than you realize! plus you will be amazed at yourself the things you will be able to pull off. i about cried my first day home with both kids and matt at work...but you know what, the Lord gives you all sorts of extra help and strength to help you do things that don't seem possible. (he blesses us with mommy power!)You will be fine, It's so fun! If you continue to stay sick, the thing they finally gave me is called Zofran. just an fyi, just in case you stay sick past your first trimester like i did! luv ya!
