Baby Update!

I had my 37 week checkup today and so far things are looking really good. Last week I was dilated to a 1 and this week to a 3 and the doctor said that the head was really low. As of right now I am scheduled to be induced on November 6th but the doctor said that she would not be surprised if I didnt make it to that day. I know that this is crazy but I kind of hope that this baby waits for two more weeks. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to meet her and I am very tired of being pregnant but Abigale's birthday is next week and I would like to focus on her and her little party all week and then have a week to get ready for the baby. (This is why I love getting induced because I like feeling that I am in a little bit more control and can get everything ready for that day instead of waiting around but who knows what will happen with this baby.)
When Abigale was born she was pretty little- under 7 lbs and had a tiny head- but the doctor said that this baby feels a lot bigger and I agree. My stomach feels much larger and is extremely tight all the time, which is not very comfortable but as long as the baby is healthy, I really dont care.
This brings me to another point, I keep calling her the baby because we still do not have a name. She could come any day and I would really like to have a name picked out before we go to the hospital. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love it! The names we are kind of thinking of are Lauren, Brooklyn, or Madelyn but I am not sure I am in love with any of these names. I kind of want a fun name but still a classic name. Anyway that is all for now but I will keep you updated. Oh and I promise pictures of the house are coming!

Happy Face!

I have been teaching Abigale about different emotions by showing her how to make happy faces, sad faces, mad faces, etc. Well, now whenever I get the camera out she thinks she needs to make a happy face and as you can tell, she has an interesting take on being happy! I love this girl!

She is eating cookie dough in this picture, so of course she is happy.

This little fox was left in the yard when we moved in and is now Abigale's best friend. She carries him everywhere and as many times as Jonathan tries to hide him, she finds him and treats him like her little baby.

Summer 2008 Picture Overload

Since we finally have the internet and I finally found our camera cord, here are all the pictures I know you have all been waiting for from this summer :) . We had such a fun time and were able to capture some of the fun things we did (when I remembered to take my camera and then remembered to take pictures). Enjoy, but just a warning that there are a lot of pictures because a lot of this is more for me to remember our fun summer!

The day before we left for Boise, Jonathan graduated! Abigale had just woken up and you can tell. Helping dad plant tomato plants:

Cute Pictures: While Abigale is scared of a lot of things, animals are not one of them. It always amazes me that she will walk up to any animal and start petting it so we took her to a little petting zoo and she loved it:

Just down the street from my parents house is a really fun swimming pool and everyday during the summer between 10-12 only the baby pool was open for kids 4 and under. Abigale loved playing in the water and at noon the city served free lunch in the park and then on the walk home, she always feel asleep. It was the perfect way to start every summer morning. Unfortunately, I forgot to take more pictures:
4th of July
For the 4th of July we took Abigale to the Boise Zoo, which she of course loved. We then went to a parade in downtown Boise and came home and lit a few fireworks before Abigale went to bed. It was a great day.
I love this picture. They had a huge tube slide and this was her face everytime she came down it.At the parade, showing her patriotism: Her reactions to the fireworks were priceless:Boston
In July my parents took Abigale and I with them to Boston. I have always loved Boston and it was fun to experience it again with Abigale (Unfortunately, Jonathan had to work)
No vacation to Boston is complete without a trip to Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox play. I was really nervous that Abigale would have a hard time sitting for so long but she loved everything about the game. She loved the music in between plays, clapping with the crowd, imitating the players throw the ball and the batters hit the ball, and she especially loved doing the wave.
She cheered so much that she wore herself out and fell asleep:Boston's Children Museum: Abigale's favorite part of the entire trip was this water fountain. I love this picture because just after I took it, water squirted up from the hole that she was standing over and she got blasted in the face. It was a little sad but also pretty funny. She still loved the fountain and mostly because of. . . . . .Her crazy uncle Jeffrey! She couldnt get enough of him playing in the water!Beautiful Cape Cod: While my sister and her husband visited us in Boise, we enjoyed a night at the Idaho State Fair and of course had to take Abigale to the petting and feeding zoo:
My sister won Abigale this puppy at the fair and she still carries it everywhere:

Well, if you made it to the end- I am amazed. We had so much fun but I am sad that I forgot to take pictures of our family reunion at Bear Lake and the few days we were able to spend with Jonathan's family in Utah. Stay tuned for more pictures of our new house.

Yes, we are alive!

Well, my excuse for not blogging in almost two months is a pretty good one. We dont have the internet! I am going crazy but my sweet husband finally called today and got us signed up so I will hopefully become a more consistent blogger in a few weeks. So a quick update while I have a few minutes with the internet (you really dont realize how much you rely on it until you dont have it!):
- We bought our first house! Hurray! We are now living in Nampa, ID and love our cute little house. It has been so much fun to decorate and just to know that it is ours for at least a few years. I will post pictures as soon as it gets a little more put together.
- Jonathan is currently working at the airport for Enterprise and once again, is doing amazing. He continues to get bonuses and recognized for his hard work and we are so proud of him! The only hard part if that he has a crazy schedule. He usually works about four 13 hour days and then has three days off. In some ways it is nice, but it can be a little hard to not see him for four days in a row and he also has to work on a few Sundays which is a bummer. Hopefully he will only be at the airport for a few more months.
-I am now 34 weeks pregnant and counting! I just went to the doctor and everything is looking good. I have had a pretty good pregnancy so far but will be happy when our little girl is out of my belly and into my arms. I have been pretty nervous to have another baby, wondering how Abigale is going to handle it, but lately I have been very excited to have another little one to love and I know that Abigale is going to be a great big sister because she is so nurturing and loving.
-Abigale is at such a fun stage. At first, she had a hard time moving away from Nana and Papa but now she loves "her house" and especially loves playing in the back yard. She is talking so much and now loves to sing. Her favorite song is "Let's go fly a kite" from Mary Poppins and will walk around the house singing it all day long! It is so funny to listen to her. She now sleeps in her big girl bed and we are currently working on Potty Training! She does okay, but we have a long ways to go before she is completely out of her diapers! She hasnt quite figured out to tell me when she has to go so I just have to keep putting her on her potty every hour or so. Hopefully before the baby she will be a little better.
Well that is a brief update with us, but hopefully in a few weeks I will be much better at updating. I hope that all is well with everyone and cant wait to continue to catch up on everyone's blogs!

Exciting News!

I know that I have been totally slacking when it comes to blogging but I still cannot find my camera cord and I dont really like to post without pictures- but it has been too long so it is time for another update. (Be prepared for picture overload when I find that cord, especially since we just got back from an amazing trip to Boston).
First of all, for those of you who don't already know, we are having another girl! I am very excited for Abigale to have a little sister and for all of Abigale's adorable baby clothes to get some use again. Poor Jonathan will have to get use to a house full of princesses and tutus for at least another few years!
The second bit of exciting news is that we made an offer on a house tonight! It is a cute little
3bed/2bath house in Nampa, which is a growing town just outside of Boise. It is right by the Idaho Center if anyone knows where that is, in a nice neighborhood, next to a brand new church and elementary school and about 1 mile from a Wal-mart, Costco, Old Navy, Target, etc. It has a big backyard with an apple tree and a cherry tree, which makes me very excited! We don't know if we will get the house but it is still exciting/scary to make an offer and hopefully own a house of our own.
Overall, life in Boise has been a lot of fun and we feel so blessed to be here. Abigale is turning into such a sweet, little girl and definitely keeps us laughing and smiling. She loves dancing, jumping, spinning, singing, throwing balls, and swimming at the pool. She is talking so much now and can count to eleven and can almost sing the entire ABC song. It is so fun to see what new things she learns everyday and hopefully the next trick she learns involves being potty-trained. I just had her pictures taken and they turned out so cute, so hopefully I will be able to post pictures soon!

Life in Boise

Yes, we made it and so far we are loving it in Boise. Jonathan loves his new job and as expected, he is taking off and doing very well. The only bummer is that he works A LOT of hours (well at least a lot more then we are used to) but he says that the days go very fast so it is not too bad. Luckily, it hasnt been too hard on me because my mom has kept me busy and has also given me plenty of breaks by helping entertain Abigale. I am now almost 17 weeks pregnant and feeling much better but I still get sick quite often and am always extremely tired (Another reason I am so grateful for my mom being around). Abigale is doing great and loving all the attention she gets from her grandparents and uncle (my brother is out here for a few months because he just graduated from George Washington Law School and is studying for the Bar). We live right next to a few duck ponds and across the street from a very fun park. If we would let her and if it would stop raining, she would love to spend all day chasing the ducks, running over the bridges, kicking her ball in the park, and going down the slide. She has adjusted really well and since she is around so many adults all day, she is talking like crazy and learns a few new words everyday. Sorry, I dont have any pictures, I am not sure where are camera cord is but I will post them soon. We hope everyone is doing well and had a great Memorial Weekend!

Long Overdue Update

I know I should have written this update quite awhile ago, but things have been a little crazy around here. We have two big announcements. First, Jonathan accepted a job with Enterprise Car Rental in their management program and begins working on May 1st! We are really excited but the job is in Boise so we will be moving in about 6 days! I cant believe we are finally leaving Provo! We have loved it here but it is definitely time to move on and as Jonathan puts it "get a real job." He is going to miss the MTC so much but he has been there for 4 years and when the average person works there for 8 months, we figure it is time to move on. So we have began packing slowly but this week we will kick it into full gear. Jonathan will graduate on Friday morning and then we will pack all day and then drive a 24 foot truck on Saturday morning to Boise. Hopefully everything will go smoothly but moving is always so stressful.
Things have been especially difficult because of announcement #2:

This is the shirt that Abigale wore to Jonathan's parents house on Easter and the pictures that we put in a slide show for my family.

Yes, we are having another baby! I am about 11 weeks along and am due the middle of November! We were a little surprised but also very excited. Abigale and baby #2 will be 2 years and 2 weeks apart and so I am excited about that but these last few weeks have been pretty rough. With Abigale I was only sick at night, but this time and I am sick all day every day. I am counting down the days until the first trimester is over, thankfully I am almost there. So that is the update with us. We are really excited about the new events in our life and feel extremely blessed. We are going to miss Utah, all of our friends, and especially Jonathan's family. We have loved living so close to them but I know that we will visit as often as we can (we wont be that far away) and hopefully they will visit us! If any of you are ever in Boise, please visit us too!
