Happy Easter!

We had such a fun Easter. We started the morning by seeing what the Easter Bunny had left for Abigale. Can you just see the excitement? This is what she saw when she opened the door. She was so excited but she kept wanting to look for the Easter Bunny. My parents were in town so we were able to go to church with them where Jonathan and I (mostly Jonathan) were able to teach 7-8 year olds about the meaning of Easter. It was a great lesson and reminder of how important this holiday really is. We then went back to our house for
games:
Yummy food:
Cute Lydia in new clothes:
Enjoying the beautiful weather and trying out the new bike:
Watching Lydia try out the jumper and I think she liked it:
We had such a fun day but we also had a great week leading up to Easter:

We went to a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt where we saw the Easter bunny, decorated cupcakes, colored pictures, played games and of course found easter eggs. It was a little cold but Abigale loved it.

We were lucky enough to have Jonathan's dad in town so we put him to work in helping us dye Easter Eggs. Abigale loved it but Lydia wasn't that excited.
We also went with some friends to a city Easter Egg Hunt at the local mall. It was a little crazy but Abigale got a lot of eggs and loved running around picking up candy.

This week was very busy but so much fun. I love this time of year and am so grateful for my Savior and all He did for me. All day I was thinking about Elder Holland's talk in conference and while Easter Egg Hunts and decorating eggs are fun, it is so important to remember why we really celebrate Easter. I am so grateful for my family. While some days as a mom can be very challenging, I feel so blessed to have these two little girls in my life!

They Grow Up Too Fast!

Things have been pretty busy lately which has been nice but the time seems to be flying by which means my girls continue to grow up on me. Lydia is now 4 1/2 months old and is our sweetheart. She is still in the 98% for weight at 16 lbs and 80% for height but we love every ounce of her. She is so fun to have in the house and three nights this week she slept 12-13 hours straight without getting up to eat. It was amazing but too bad we cant say the same thing for Abigale who is till our early bird. Not loving rice cereal:
Abigale started joy school last week and it has been a lot of fun. Four little girls in our ward that are all 3 or turning 3 this year get together twice a week for 90 minutes and learn letters, numbers, colors, shapes, sing, dance and have a great time. Every week we rotate houses and next week it is our house. Abigale really enjoys it but since she is so shy and is still getting to know the kids I have been going with her but hopefully she will be able to go by herself soon. Abigale is the youngest but it is good for her to be around other little girls. I can already tell such a difference in her vocabulary and just the way she talks. She keeps us laughing!
First day of school. Doesn't she look cute and excited?:
Jonathan is doing great at his job. With the economy right now, things have been a little frustrating at times but we feel blessed to even have a job. He has also been keeping busy with all of his many projects around the house which is great because he saves us a lot of money with his projects. For example, we really needed a new desk but instead of buying a new one, he took our old one, cut it up and created the perfect custom desk. He also fixed his car, with a little help from Abigale, and when we moved in, made an awesome bookshelf. Thanks honey!
The desk. It is hard to really see and I wish we had a before picture but it is awesome.
The bookshelf, this is my favorite thing he had made:

The Happiest Place on Earth = Happiest Little Girl on Earth

We had such an amazing time at Disneyland with my parents. Abigale and Lydia both were amazing and such good travelers. Abigale loves airplanes so just the plane ride there was enough for her but it only got better. Even our hotel was awesome. They had a fake lion in the lobby up on some rocks above a fish pond and every 30 minutes smoke would come out and the lion would stand up and roar. Abigale was pretty freaked out at first but she loved it and the hotel was set up so that all the rooms faced in toward the lobby. Every 10 minutes she was wanting to go out in the hall and watch the lion. It was pretty fun.
We spent three days at Disneyland and the California Park. Abigale loved every second of it and was happy as can be the entire time even though she never took a nap. The weather was perfect which was good and bad. It was the first nice weekend in a long time so a lot of people were there which made for long lines but of course it was worth it! Abigale's favorite "rides" were the Winnie the Pooh ride, the Tiki Bird house (she saw that about 5 times), Dumbo ride, Peter Pan, and although she kept saying the Pirates of the Caribean were too scary she cant stop talking about it. She also loved the Disney Playhouse Show with Mickey Mouse and Little Einsteins and the Bug's Life area. She did not like when the monster of Monsters, Inc tried to give her a high five. Her face was of sheer terror but it was still pretty cute. Overall it was an amazing trip and much needed. Thanks Mom and Dad!
I made a slide show with all the pictures but for some reason it will not post it so here are a few of my favorites and hopefully I will soon have more up.

Three Months!

Well, Lydia is now almost closer to four months but I still want to share some three month pics of her. She has turned into such a sweetheart. She is always happy and my favorite thing is when she will be just sitting there and I will walk up and just smile at her and she will look at me and give me the biggest toothless grin- I love it! She has also discovered her thumb. I know in the future it might be a problem but it is so cute to watch her act fussy and then find her thumb and automatically calm down and fall asleep. She wouldn't take a binkie so I guess a thumb is the next best thing! She is still huge and chubby and I love it. We are finally starting to get some kind of a schedule and it makes having two kids much easier. Some days are still a little overwhelming but I feel so lucky to have two adorable girls and an amazing husband! Enjoy the pictures:

Fun February!

I have always loved the month of February. The main reason is probably because it is the month of my birthday but that is not the only reason. I love that it is a shortest month, it is the first month that really shows signs of Spring (can't wait!), President's Day (which is like the only holiday we would get off at BYU), and Valentines Day which is just a fun holiday (at least when you are married or with someone). This year has been no exception and it is not over yet. A week from today we leave for California with my parents and are taking the girls to Disneyland! Abigale is pretty excited but a little confused. I showed her pictures of when Jonathan and I went to Disneyworld and she thinks the castle is a temple. Whenever we drive past the Boise Temple she asks to see Mickey. When I tell her it is Jesus' House she says that she wants to see Jesus. The other day she started crying because she wanted to see Jesus. Smart girl!

Here are some pics of our fun month:

I had a great birthday. Since it was on Sunday, it was a pretty low-key day for me but a busy day for Jonathan as he made me dinner, a cake, and took care of the kids most of the day so I could relax. It was perfect. The night before, he picked up some yummy Thai food for us and made one of my favorite desserts- Brownie Sundae and we did it family style like at the restaurants. Here we are getting ready to dive in.

Abigale's babies. She loves to watch me and whatever I do with Lydia, she does with her babies. Yes, that does include feeding them =). Abigale is the best big sister. She loves Lydia so much.

Reading to her:
Helping her color- if you cant tell she is putting the marker in her hand and making her color:
Sharing her toys:
My friend Heidi came over with her kids and we made sugar cookies. It was a lot of fun and worth the mess and sugar high Abigale had all day from the cookie dough, frosting, and cookies she kept sneaking. Thanks Heidi- sorry I didnt get more pictures.

Valentines Day Dresses- Thanks Mom!

I didn't take any pictures of Valentines Day but just so I dont forget I want to write about our great day. Jonathan sent me beautiful flowers and since he had a to work a few hours on Saturday, I dropped the kids off at my parents and went to his office. While he was working I decorated his car and put all his favorite treats inside. I left him a note and told him to meet me at Macaroni Grill (one of our favorites) where we were able to enjoy a nice lunch date. We then walked through the mall for a little while until Lydia needed to eat and we had to pick up the kids but it was a great day! Thanks Babe! I love you!
