NYC!

My sister got married in the New York temple on August 4th and we were lucky enough to be there! It was a little crazy trying to do the site seeing with a 8 month old while trying to help prepare for a wedding, but overall we had a wonderful time! One problem was that the battery for our camera died and we forgot to bring the charger so we only got a few photos. Enjoy the ones we got!

We took Abigale to FAO Shwartz (the toy store in the movie Big with the huge piano) where they had thousands of stuffed animals. Abigale loved all of them and I think she thought most of them were real, but I dont blame her! We also got a picture with the characters from Harry Potter- made of LEGOS!
My sister's reception was on a roof top overlooking the city. We could see the Statue of Liberty in one direction and the Empire State Building the other direction. This is Abigale sitting in front of the windows.

The whole family the night before Caitlin's wedding after a delicious pizza dinner in Little Italy.

Jonathan, my brother Jeff, Abigale, and I went to Times Square on a Friday night. I love seeing all the lights and people but somehow Abigale managed to stay asleep through it all. That is all the pictures I have for now but I will get some of the wedding and post them later.

Cousins

Abigale only has 3 cousins and, unfortunately, they live in Singapore. Lucky for us they came home for the summer so Abigale got to meet Claire (age 5) and Eliza (age 3) and we all got to meet Benjamin (now 9 months old)! We had so much fun and were so sad to see them leave. Abigale and Ben are only 1 month apart.
Cousins together at last!

Guess who has teeth!

That's right, after weeks of waiting, Abigale's two bottom teeth have broken through. She has handled it pretty well but I can tell that she is in pain as she tries to bite on everything and in this picture you can also tell that has a runny nose! At least she is still sleeping fine at night, thank goodness!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! Despite the fact that Jonathan had to work most of the holiday (the MTC never quits), we had a great day. Abigale and I attended the parade and a family was nice enough to let us sit in front of them on the front row which was extremely nice because there were sooo many people there and not many places to sit. I am glad that we went because Abigale LOVED the parade. All of her favorite things were there: music, balloons, other kids, animals (horses), etc. We left the parade a little early but not because she wanted to leave but because it got very hot. Later that day we went to Jonathan's parents for a delicious BBQ and to celebrate his sister Lindsey's birthday. It was a lot of fun and we made it back just in time to see the Stadium of Fire fireworks. Overall, it was a wonderful day!
Abigale excited about the holiday and the fireworks

Loving the parade, but not the sun in her face.

This picture is for my friend Kate, bring back memories?

Watching the fireworks with dad

I think Abigale is going to like this holiday!

CANCUN!!

Thanks to Jonathan's parents we spent the last 5 days at a beautiful resort in Cancun, Mexico! We had an amazing time sitting at the white sand beaches, playing in the huge pool, eating lots of food at the buffets, swimming with dolphins (yes, we did swim with dolphins!), visiting the Mayan ruins, and just having fun with family. The weather was perfect and Abigale had a blast but I think she misses all the attention she got from her grandparents and aunts and uncles more then she misses the beach! Thank you for such an amazing time!

What We Have Been Up To . . .

I know it has been a very long time since I have updated this blog but I have a good excuse, well sort of. Since the middle of May, I have spent three weeks in Pocatello and a week in Mexico. The first week to Poky was just to visit, the second was so that Jonathan could paint my parents house for them, and the third week was to visit my sister and her family who came to the United States for the summer from Singapore. The good news is that I have had an incredible summer but the bad news is that I have not taken very many pictures to document it. The following are random pictures that I did happen to take.

This was Mother's Day when Abigale and Jonathan brought me a bunch of presents in bed and then Jonathan later made me a delicious dinner!
Getting ready for Mexico!
A cute picture of Abigale in her Chinese dress and on her seven month birthday.

Abigale discovered cookies, well, baby biting biscuits but as close to the real thing as she will get for awhile.
The before and after picture of painting Abigale's room.
This is how I found Abigale asleep in her swing, silly girl! Also, notice the new wall color in the background. We painted practically the whole house in a day.

Two Big Announcements!!

Announcement #1:
Congratulations to my sister, Caitlin, and soon-to-be-brother-in-law, Jeffrey!!! They officially got engaged on Friday, when Jeffrey proposed to her outside of her office in Harlem! I haven't seen it yet, but I hear that her ring is beautiful. I am so excited that they are getting married and even more excited that they are getting married in New York City on August 4th and that we get to go!! Congratulations Caitlin and welcome to the family Jeffrey! Let the wedding plans officially begin!

Announcement #2:
Jonathan's dream came true last week while Abigale and I were in Pocatello. He finally bought himself a scooter after years of wishing, hoping and dreaming about it. He is so excited and it has become his new "project". It is a few years old so he has had fun fixing it up and getting it in perfect condition. I tried to drive it for the first time and about killed myself but I will admit that it was fun to drive. I just need a little practice.
