We finally made it to Disneyland! Jonathan had to stay in San Diego for a conference on Sunday so we had to go without him so that we could get as much time there as possible. Obviously the girls were super excited as we had been talking about it all week and Disneyland never disappoints! We went Sunday with my parents while Jonathan was at his conference, on Monday we all went together and my parents left that night and on Tuesday it was just our family. It was over the Martin Luther King holiday so Sunday was busy, Monday was insane, and Tuesday was awesome!
On the shuttle bus:
Even Ryan was excited!
Pics around Disneyland!
The whole gang ready to go. This was my parents last day and Jonathan's first day there. We stayed one extra day after my parents left.
Pictures of Lydia:
Pics of Ryan and Papa

The family on the storybook ride. The girls were so excited to sit on top of the boat. They had the best view of all the little towns. They loved this ride because it "wasnt scary" according to Lydia.
Waiting for the Alice in Wonderland ride
On the Winnie the Pooh ride:
The new Little Mermaid ride was so cute. It was the very first ride we went on and Lydia did not know what to expect and I think it was a little to real for her. She did not like Ursula but by the last day she was used to the idea of rides and we rode it over and over.
Nap time!
Parade time:

Lots and lots of princesses! Every little girls dream!
Its a small world still had all of the Christmas lights up and on the ride played Christmas music. It was really cute and I am glad we were able to see and hear something different on the ride.
Ryan loved the ride and kept pointing at everything.

I had to document this salad. We bought it at Costco and you just had to add lettuce. It was an Asian chicken salad and it was so good. We had it every day and it saved us!
I was really excited to see the new light and water show but it didnt even start until after 8 and after a day at Disneyland and when my kids are use to going to bed at 7 they were pretty wiped out. Abigale fell asleep before we got there and slept through the entire thing. Lydia was half asleep and pretty much just covered her ears the entire time. Ryan was just along for the adventure! I, however, loved it!

The buzzlighter ride was a favorite! On Tuesday we just walked on the ride 5 times in a row. The girls loved shooting everything and Jonathan and I loved competing against each other!

Toon Town: Even after three days we barely fit this in and they loved it!
Abigale and I getting ready to go on the little roller coaster. She was a little nervous because the day before she went on Tower of Terror and she pretty much was scared to death of all rides after that but she did it and had fun. I just have to add that I tried to talk her out of Tower of Terror but she really wanted to go on it and she was tall enough. I told her all about it but she still wanted to do it and now I will never forget her face when we were on the ride. She was crying and saying she wanted to get off. I felt so bad and she still has nightmares about it! Oops! She was a good sport and loves to tell people about it today.
I have finally reached the end of our trip to California! It was such an amazing trip and I am so glad we decided to go for it and that we were able to go with my parents! Hopefully our kids will remember it or at least enjoy the pics!

Ryan's Birthday!
My little man turned one on March 28th! It is so crazy that he is one! He brings so much happiness to our family. He loves to make people laugh and to give hugs. If any of us are sitting on the floor he loves to come up from behind and give us big hugs. He is a pro at walking and is finally walking without doing the zombie arm thing. He cant stand up by himself but he can bend down and pick things up and stand back up. His two favorite things right now are balls and books. If he sees a ball he will run for it, pick it up, throw it and then chase it. He does this over and over again. Sometimes he will bring me the ball and want me to throw it just like a good puppy :) He also has two favorite books that if he sees he will follow me around with the book in his hand until I stop and read it to him. I just love him so much!
For his birthday we just had some friends and family over and basically watched Ryan eat cake and play with his presents. It was perfect! Each picture is a month of his life
Eating the cake: At first we just picked up the big chunks of frosting and then we went for it and mostly just threw it around the room.
Jonathan's mom has made each of the kids a blanket on their first birthday! Ryan's turned out so cute and it is so soft!
I love this picture because all of the kids were helping Ryan open his presents!
Happy Birthday Ryan!
More fun things about Ryan at one year:
- He is a pretty good sleeper. He goes to bed around 8 and usually wakes up at 6 or 7. He would like to take 2 naps a day but most days we are out of the house to much so he takes one long nap.
- He is almost done nursing. He only nurses once a day; when he wakes up in the morning. He doesn't love a bottle but will drink the whole milk usually when he is going to sleep.
-He says mom, dada, ball, book, and dog. At least I think thats what he is saying :)
- His favorite foods are bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, he still likes most baby foods, cheese, and he is pretty good about eating what we have for dinner if I grind it up for him.
- We found out at his one year appointment that he is borderline anemic so we have to make sure he gets extra iron.
- At his appointment he weighed 22.1 lbs which is a little concerning because that is exactly what he weighed 3 months ago. The doctor thinks it is a combination of weaning him and him being more active. He went from 75 percentile three months ago to 30 percent. He did grow 1 1/2 inches though and is 70 percent for height.

Performances!
We got back from California just in time for Abigale to perform at her preschool concert. It was so cute to hear all the kids sing. Abigale use to hate performing in front of people but I think she is starting to enjoy it and she did a great job!One of my friends told me about the high school cheer leading camp and this time it was for three year olds as well so Lydia got to do it with Abigale. She was really excited until the first day of practice when I dropped her off and then she wasn't so sure. She wanted me to stay and watch her practice but I quickly learned that wasn't going to work because every two minutes she would leave her practice and run over to me. They both had a lot of fun and we were impressed with how well they performed. I don't know if they are really going to be cheerleaders but it sure is cute when they are 3 and 5!

San Diego Zoo
After a fun time at the beach we picked up my dad and headed to the zoo. We were only there for a few hours so we started our time by taking a bus ride around the zoo so that we could see as many animals as possible.

Some of the animals we saw on the bus tour.
This was my favorite. He would just walk along the glass and then sit and stare at everyone. The kids loved it.
They had a moving walkway that took you up the big hill and the girls loved riding on it:

This skytram goes from one side of the park to the other. It was so neat to look down and see all of the animals and to see how big the zoo actually is.

The petting zoo:
I see the resemblance! :)
What a great day!
