My Cute Girls!

Lydia's Blessing

Last weekend we were finally able to bless Lydia. Because of my husbands crazy schedule and ward conference we blessed Lydia at our house. It was actually really special to bless her in our first house and I am kind of glad it worked out that way. Lydia was also blessed in the same dress that I was blessed in and Abigale was blessed in.

A lot of Jonathan's family were nice enough to drive and fly out to spend the weekend with us and we had so much fun. Unfortunately the day before everyone arrived, Abigale started throwing up and had a stomach flu all weekend. It was so sad because she couldnt keep anything down especially milk which is her favorite thing in the world. So it is safe to say she wasnt the happiest girl all weekend, but we survived. Thanks again everyone for coming. We love you and miss you!
Our Chubby Baby! Proud Big SisterSince it was at our house, we were able to make a yummy breakfast for everyone. Abigale is helping make the pancakes.A few pictures from the fun weekend. Grandma Tanner painting Abigale's nails while Bri made a delicious dinner and the boys played the Wii.One exciting thing that happened was that my sis-in-law Bri was putting lotion on and took off her wedding ring. Well, it fell down the side of the couch and went all the way to the bottom. As you can see it was quite the ordeal to get it out. Jonathan had to actually cut the fabric at the bottom and then we had to shake the couch to get it to fall out. It was a team effort (and pretty entertaining) but the ring is safely back on her finger.

Two Months Old!

Our "little" Lydia had her two month appointment and two month birthday this week. I say "little" because she is not little at all! She is huge! Here are her stats:
Weight: 13 lbs! (96th percentile)
Height: 23 3/4 inches (80th percentile)
She gained 4 lbs and grew 2 inches since her two week appointment and is now wearing 3-6 month clothes. It is so funny how two kids can be so different. It doesnt seem like she eats any more then Abigale did but she sure is bigger. She is such a sweetheart and we love having her in our family. It is so true what everyone says that I can't believe it is already two months but at the same time it seems like she has been with us forever!

Lydia had kind of a rough start to life; being put in the NICU for three days with an IV, having acid reflux, and already having three colds. It is so sad because when she gets a cold it aggrevates the acid reflux more and she just cries in pain and there is nothing we can do. I always feel so sorry for her (and sometimes sorry for myself because those are the nights I dont get very much sleep). But, when she is not sick, she is the happiest, sweetest little girl. She loves to just lay on the floor and look around. She will lay there for hours just kicking and smiling. She also loves her swing and her big sister. Whenever Abigale comes around her, her face just lights up and you can see her trying to focus on her. It is so cute.
We love you Lydia! Happy two month birthday!

Christmas!

We had such a fun Chirstmas! Like I said before, my whole family was together for the first time in a very long time and it was as fun as I hoped it would be. Abigale and Lydia only have three cousins and they live in Singapore so it was fun to watch them interact over Christmas. Claire is 6 and loves taking care of her cousins, Eliza is 4 and loves to have fun, and Ben is 2 (a month younger then Abigale) and is full of energy and has the cutest smile ever. Abigale was a little overwhelmed at first, but by the end of the week she loved her cousins and she still asks for them almost everyday. It is sad because we dont know when we will get to see them again, but hopefully soon!

We had big plans for the week of Christmas and while we were able to do many of the things we wanted, the massive amount of snow we received kept us from accomplishing every item on the to do list. Here are some pictures of a few of the fun things we did.
Making Cookies with Aunt Caitlin and Uncle Jeffrey:
Decorating Cookies:
Building Forts with Uncle Jeff
Watching Christmas movies or most likely they were watching Hannah Montana!
Playing with Grandpa and Cousin Ben:
Lydia is not sure how she feels about this kiss:Lydia and Grandpa
Playing in the Snow!
Hanging with Uncle Jeffrey:
Abigale and Ben. It never drops below about 80 degrees in Singapore so Ben and Eliza had never even seen snow. They had fun but I think they will be happy when they get back to their tropical climate:As Abigale would say "That's silly, Dada!"
The Girls made Gingerbread houses while all the guys went skiing at Snowbasin. We had a lot of fun but the guys said the snow was amazing. They got 19 inches of snow just in the day they were there and they were skiing in powder up to their chests.Cooking the traditional Chirstmas meal; shrimp, potatoes, raspberry jell-o, rolls, etc. Delicious! (well I am not a shrimp eater so I dont know about that, but everything else was wonderful)

We forget to take a cute picture of the presents Santa laid out for the girls and we video recorded all morning so this is the only picture I got of the presents from Santa but I think you can tell she liked it all! There were four deer in the backyard eating out of the bird houses and they were so pretty. They look far away in this picture but they were really close. It was beautiful with all the snow!
