Life in Boise

Yes, we made it and so far we are loving it in Boise. Jonathan loves his new job and as expected, he is taking off and doing very well. The only bummer is that he works A LOT of hours (well at least a lot more then we are used to) but he says that the days go very fast so it is not too bad. Luckily, it hasnt been too hard on me because my mom has kept me busy and has also given me plenty of breaks by helping entertain Abigale. I am now almost 17 weeks pregnant and feeling much better but I still get sick quite often and am always extremely tired (Another reason I am so grateful for my mom being around). Abigale is doing great and loving all the attention she gets from her grandparents and uncle (my brother is out here for a few months because he just graduated from George Washington Law School and is studying for the Bar). We live right next to a few duck ponds and across the street from a very fun park. If we would let her and if it would stop raining, she would love to spend all day chasing the ducks, running over the bridges, kicking her ball in the park, and going down the slide. She has adjusted really well and since she is around so many adults all day, she is talking like crazy and learns a few new words everyday. Sorry, I dont have any pictures, I am not sure where are camera cord is but I will post them soon. We hope everyone is doing well and had a great Memorial Weekend!

Long Overdue Update

I know I should have written this update quite awhile ago, but things have been a little crazy around here. We have two big announcements. First, Jonathan accepted a job with Enterprise Car Rental in their management program and begins working on May 1st! We are really excited but the job is in Boise so we will be moving in about 6 days! I cant believe we are finally leaving Provo! We have loved it here but it is definitely time to move on and as Jonathan puts it "get a real job." He is going to miss the MTC so much but he has been there for 4 years and when the average person works there for 8 months, we figure it is time to move on. So we have began packing slowly but this week we will kick it into full gear. Jonathan will graduate on Friday morning and then we will pack all day and then drive a 24 foot truck on Saturday morning to Boise. Hopefully everything will go smoothly but moving is always so stressful.
Things have been especially difficult because of announcement #2:

This is the shirt that Abigale wore to Jonathan's parents house on Easter and the pictures that we put in a slide show for my family.

Yes, we are having another baby! I am about 11 weeks along and am due the middle of November! We were a little surprised but also very excited. Abigale and baby #2 will be 2 years and 2 weeks apart and so I am excited about that but these last few weeks have been pretty rough. With Abigale I was only sick at night, but this time and I am sick all day every day. I am counting down the days until the first trimester is over, thankfully I am almost there. So that is the update with us. We are really excited about the new events in our life and feel extremely blessed. We are going to miss Utah, all of our friends, and especially Jonathan's family. We have loved living so close to them but I know that we will visit as often as we can (we wont be that far away) and hopefully they will visit us! If any of you are ever in Boise, please visit us too!

Happy Easter!

With the weather being so nice this week, it was a lot of fun to celebrate and get ready for Easter.

Sugar Cookies
We started by making sugar cookies but for some reason it was a very busy week and we ended up taking took all week to finish. I spent one day making the dough, one day baking them, and finally decorated them. I think it took so long because I let Abigale help and by the time we got done with one step we ran out of time, but it was still fun and she loved "helping" me.
Easter Egg Hunt
We had an Easter Egg Hunt with the Drysdales and Petersons and I am not sure who had more fun the kids or the parents watching the kids. I was surprised how much Abigale got into it as she raced around the grass picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket but the best part was coming inside and opening them all up.
Easter
Easter morning I set out an Easter basket full of some fun new toys and she loved everything. While she played with her new toys, Jonathan and I read some of the amazing articles out of this month's Ensign. It was the perfect Easter morning. We then went to church and then to Jonathan's parents house for a delicious Easter dinner and took family pictures. It was so nice to be with family for the holiday. Easter is such a special holiday- the sugar cookies and easter egg hunts and jelly beans are all a lot of fun but I hope everyone took some time to remember why we really celebrate Easter.

February . . .

I know it has been awhile since I have posted but I think it is just because nothing much has happened lately. Jonathan is loving his job (at least until April) and I am loving having a husband not in school and working 8-5. It is so nice to have a set schedule and have some sort of routine! Although not much happened we still had a great month. My parents made a few visits, we went on an actual date with friends and left Abigale with Jonathan's parents- where she did great, my old roommate and good friend Loni visited from Ohio with her two adorable boys,we went to the park any day the weather made it possible (thanks Nicole and Katie for making the park fun for me as well), and have just been hanging out. I hope everyone had a great month and keep crossing your fingers for more spring weather!

Abigale's Valentines Picture- it was the best one I could get because she did not want to smile- now she only wants to take the camera from me:
Abigale with Grammy and Papa:My parents bought Abigale this new little table from IKEA and she loves it!Jonathan and I were shopping and Abigale found this hat and it was love at first sight. Luckily, it was on clearance so we bought it for her. She loves to wear and pull it down over her eyes so she has to look up to see us and loves to check herself out in the mirror and model. It is pretty funny to watch.
Cute pics of Abigale rocking in the chair wearing the cute dress from her aunt Caitlin who lives in New York. Thanks Caitlin, she looked adorable!

The Big 2-5!

Friday was my birthday and I can now officially rent a car! I always thought that 25 was the coolest age but I think it was because it always felt so far away. Now that I am 25, it feels old! Anyway, I had a wonderful birthday. Jonathan did such a great job of making me feel special all day. He took me shopping to get new clothes, bought me flowers, balloons, a cake, wrote a letter, took me to dinner, rented a chick flick to watch, etc. The best part of the day for me was that he took off work early! (if you know Jonathan at all you know that this is huge) Overall it was a great birthday and thank you to everyone for the phone calls, text messages, and emails! Oh, and on my birthday my drivers license expired so I had to get a new one. I am finally an offical Utah resident and a Tanner!Of course I can't post without showing cute pictures of Abigale:

This is before Dad came home from work (notice the cute hair)

Update on Abigale

I know I post a lot about Abigale but I thought it was time to give a little update so you all know the fun things she is doing at almost 15 months and also share a few of my recent favorite pictures.

New words: Up, says "da" for down, all done, apple, bye bye, hot, baby einstein, "mo" for more and hi.

New words that she signs: baby, apple, ball, coat, cold, dad, and shoes (I have kind of stopped teaching her signs because I want her to talk but she has picked up a bunch from her Baby Einstein video)

Animal noises she knows: fish, elephant, tiger, snake and cow

Favorite things to do in the house: pull all the dvds out of the stand, change the channel with the remote, throw things in the garbage when I ask her to and throw everything else in the bathtub, put things in the dishwasher, help cook whenever possible, throw and kick balls, carry my purses on her shoulder, and carry her baby around the house. For some reason she also loves it when I put curlers in her hair, which is fine by me!

In Mourning. . .

For those of you who don't know, I am a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan. I am not just talking about those bandwagon fans who only like them when they have a good year, I have been a fan since I was in 7th grade. In 7th grade my English teacher made us play fantasy football for extra credit. Not knowing very much about any of the players, I randomly picked many of the Packers players including Brett Favre. I have always liked watching sports but didnt really get into the NFL until my grade depended on it and then I was hooked and have loved Green Bay ever since. They had an awesome season this year but I am so sad that they lost to the Giants. I would have loved to see them play in the Super Bowl against the Patriots but unfortunately they didnt play their best tonight. Hopefully, Favre will be back for one more season but in the meantime I guess I will have to cheer for New England.

On a side note, we taught Abigale "touchdown" so everytime we yelled touchdown she would jump up and put her hands in the air. It was so funny.
The only thing that made the loss bareable was the fact that I got to watch the game on our new flat screen tv in high definition. It was a whole new experience compared to our other tv where we could not even see the score.
